CANUCKS 4, BLUE JACKETS 3: Daniel Sedin scored twice and defenseman Alex Edler had a goal and an assist to help host Vancouver snap a modest two-game slide.

The Canucks scored twice with the man advantage and held off a late surge by the Blue Jackets for just their second win in the last six games.

Columbus pulled its goalie for the extra attacker and made a push with less than a minute to play, but couldn't solve Cory Schneider. The netminder made an incredible sliding save on Mark Letestu at the final buzzer to earn his 16th win.

After defenseman Jack Johnson tallied to cut Vancouver's lead to 3-2, Sedin capitalized on the power play 15:19 into the third for his team-leading 30th marker and second goal of the game. Twin brother Henrik assisted on both goals.

Defenseman James Wisniewski ripped a slapper past Schneider 16:24 into the last frame for Columbus, which has lost four straight games.

Vancouver hits the road for four games beginning Monday in Minnesota.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Canucks forward Manny Malhotra (personal) missed his second straight game. ... Vancouver won the season series 3-0-1. ... Schneider is 9-0-1 in 10 starts since Dec. 15. ... The Canucks’ last regulation loss to the Blue Jackets was a 5-3 decision on Oct. 5, 2009.
