Brent Burns also tallied, Logan Couture notched two assists and Antti Niemi made 21 saves for the Sharks, who went 0-for-8 on the power play.

Blue-liner Jason Garrison scored and Roberto Luongo stopped 31 shots for the Canucks, who mustered only five shots in the third session.

The Sharks trailed after one period before Burns began a spurt of four unanswered goals at 5:53 of the second, beating Luongo from the right faceoff dot during a rush. Braun put San Jose ahead for good with a shot from the right point that sailed past the screened goaltender.

Marleau created breathing room after a superb effort by Couture. After creating a turnover in the right circle, Couture chased down the puck along the boards and made a cross-ice pass to Marleau, who beat Luongo from the left circle with 5:21 left in the third.

Wingels capped the scoring by converting a feed from Andrew Desjardins while on the doorstep. Desjardins led a 2-on-none rush but was slashed from behind before making a backhand feed across the top of the crease to Wingels.

Garrison opened the scoring at 9:04 of the first with a one-timer from the top of the slot during a power play.
